A travellers' port of call for decades
Since First Nations trading canoes plied these waters between the Georgia basin and BC's north coast, Heriot Bay has been a favourite port along the Inside Passage.
Union steamships made regular stops during the early part of the 1900s as they made their way around the BC coast supplying logging camps, canneries and other frontier outposts.

Today, our full-facility marina at Heriot Bay welcomes pleasure crafts or working boats alike. Our dock underwent a refit in the spring of 2005, with additional work planned for sometime soon.

Situated in sheltered Heriot Bay, the marina offers: diesel, marine fuel & propane sales, ice, showers and laundry facilities, wireless high speed internet, charts, maps & fishing charters.
Do you have your Pleasure Craft Operator card yet? All boaters need this certification by September 15, 2009. You can do the test on-line: boaterexam.com is where to go to take the test and be legal on the water.
You'll also find kayak & bike rentals for when you've just got to get off the boat, plus of course the many amenities of the Heriot Bay Inn. So stop in and stock up before up before you head out to explore the Discovery Islands!

This includes the Heriot Bay Store which offers full provisions, including fresh produce and meats, as well as liquor sales. Heriot Bay Store offers courtesy dock delivery, making provisioning for Desolation Sound and the outer Discovery Islands even easier! Also located here is Quadra Crafts, and Canada Post.
