Get ready to live large on the dance floor (or from the comfort of your lawn chair) at the second annual Living Life Large festival. The music is going to be awesome. The festival is Sunday September 12. The gates open at 1 pm, with the on-stage revelry beginning at 2 and going straight through till 11 pm.
Tickets are $40 (after 6pm = $30); 15 & under, pay your age.

Plein Air in Heriot Bay...
Talented outdoor painters are bringing their paint boxes and easels to Quadra Island, for the 5th Annual Quadra Paint Out September 11 & 12.
Artists from Vancouver, Victoria, Courtenay, Cumberland and Comox will converge on Rebecca Spit Provincial Park all day on Saturday, September 11. The public is invited to join in the fun by watching artists work from 9 until 4.
The Plein Air paint-out will take place in Heriot Bay on September 12, and at 3 pm there is a reception and exhibit of the paintings at the Heriot Bay Inn. The public is invited to come view the art and meet the artists. Some of the work will be for sale, and there will be a $100 and under section of the exhibit.
This event is happening with the support of the International Plein Air Painters and Firesign Studio and B&B.
